I bring more than twenty years of experience in capacity-building, with deep subject matter expertise in sexual violence, healing from trauma, and nonprofit management. More importantly, I bring calm and a fundamental belief in your power.

The throughline of my career has been the power of finding voice. Coming out in college and doing LGBTQ activism unlocked the power of my own voice and made me the advocate I am today. Working directly with survivors of sexual violence at the Survivor Empowerment Center in Carbondale, IL taught me about the incredible power that is unleashed when survivors connect with their voices. Every survivor that I had the honor of serving taught me something about bravery, creativity, fortitude, and compassion.

At the National Resource Sharing Project—which served victim service providers, sexual assault coalitions, and state administering agencies throughout 56 states and territories—I learned the joy of being a voice in a complex harmony. During my tenure at RSP, I developed the frameworks for understanding dual/multi-service advocacy agencies and led the first technical assistance (TA) project on serving adult survivors of child sexual abuse. I’ve trained countless coalition staff on the craft of coalition work, guided agencies from the brink of closure to flourishing, and helped state administrators redesign funding instruments. Every TA recipient that I had the honor of serving taught me something about ingenuity, care, and grit.
